Invite to Ray Evernham’s Americarna 2019 on 11/30/19

I would like to invite our SAAC Carolina's members to join me for Ray Evernham's  Americarna Show 2019 at the Ingersoll Rand Campus on Saturday, November 30th , 2019.  Each year this wonderful event grows with an expected turn out of over 500 cars this year.  The money raised helps to support programs associated with North Carolina's Autism Society, a group that I am very active with.  My son Dean who is 16 years old, has autism. 

Through my connection with the society, I have obtained permission for our Shelby club to get VIP parking.  At a show with over 500 participants, you can bet everyone wants to park their car in this section.  They are asking that I give them a detailed RSVP list of who is attending, and what cars they are bringing.  Obviously, I would love to have everyone attend with any car you may have, but we should limit it to original Shelby automobiles, or other rare and exotic vehicles.  I hope you understand.

Please join me and help show that Shelby owner's truly care about Autism.  Please RSVP to me as soon as you can.

I'll be there, planning on arriving before 7:30am, pays to get there early to unload and find a big enough area in the VIP lot so we can all park together.  It was already pretty full last year when I got there at 8.  Forecast calling for 30% chance of rain and worse on Sunday, so I doubt it will get postponed like last year.

Thanks for the photo. Glad you guys could make it with the weather being questionable. I actually saw a little news coverage out of Raleigh on Spectrum News. The Evernham Family-Racing for a Reason Foundation in support of the Autism Society of North Carolina is such a good cause.

Thanks to all who showed up.  It's a great show, and for an even better cause.  Ray really works hard to make this happen and the IGNITE centers he founded are amazing.  We hope they are going to help my son in particular.  We had a great time at the VIP dinner the night before (see pics) and I included pics showing just how narrow the wheelbase width of a Jaguar E-Type really is.

The car you are thinking is Woody's is actually owned by John Callis.  He has a nightmist GT350 and it participated on the same tours as Woody.  He and Woody were also best friends.

Wow, you aren't kidding - that wheelbase is SUPER narrow.  Quite the "pucker" getting it onto the trailer, I imagine.   

Also, that Lime Green Shelby is AWESOME!!!  I love the patina on that car - righteous.

It's owned by Tom Cotter, pretty sure it's for sale.  Tetanus shot included in the sales price!
