Nah! Bona Fide Competition package removes the caution fan decal for weight savings.

Good point.  And the windshield washer bottle (notice it's not a bag) was secretly filled with nitro.

Those Competition boys had all the bases covered.

But SAAC says the original owner was Hubert Platt. Interesting because Hubert DESPISED automatics saying they were for "old women".IIRC all thre verified '67s with 427s were 4 speeds. HMMM.

Maybe he bought it for his Mom and just tuned it up a little for her? Who was "the little old lady from Pasadena" anyway?

I think I have a picture of the engine in my computer (which I had registered in January 2015) but I do not know this vehicle  ::)

IF what the advertising is referring to is the "light weight 427", this is the engine that was used in the the GT40 MKII and MIIB.

It consisted of a 427 block, crank, rods and 10.5:1 pistons. It used either the FORD C6FE aluminum medium rise heads (MKII) or the aluminum 427 Tunnel port heads (MKIIB). A MAGNESIUM single 4v PI intake, a harmonic balancer with an aluminum hub and iron ring, and an aluminum water pump.

That's the "light weight 427 competition package". There is no matching 2x4 magnesium intake that I know of for that combination.

If they are referring to a different combintion then the advertiser is making up a story.

There were three invoiced 427 67 GT500's and this car is not one of them. As Randy mentioned, they were all 4 speeds.

So keep an eye out for Pinocchio. He will stand out in the crowd since his nose will continue to grow.  ;)

Do they seriously think that they can jerk around a knowledgeable buyer, hose him down with bs and they will sign a check? Really?

All three 67 GT500's had the lightweight 427 engine installed.

It is a damn good looking day 2 GT500 to my eye.

Yup, those don't win awards or bring the highest bucks but what fun this would be from stoplight to stoplight.

Love the black. I am not near my registry, was black the born-with color?

Thanks JD.

B-J is no reserve. Maybe the price will allow someone in who wants a good looking fun car to drive.
