I am a survivor (proven) and NON transmitter. Yes there is a relapse ( minor runny nose) about two weeks after all symptoms leave. A friend who DID get the virus from me ( and survived) called me to say he had just come down with a cold and THE NEXT DAY I did too and my wife a day later. I ended that with Zicam and vitamin C.
COVID-19 is no joke but MOST survive unless you have a weak immune system for the many reasons we have been cautioned on. My previous comments were a bit arrogant ( looking back) made before I realized that I had it. Having it is NOT a death sentence!!!!
Be smart and safe , not paranoid and careless.

Glad to hear you are on the mend.

  Thanks Brian.
I was symptom free by Feb 10th and the relapse was over by the 27th of Feb. Again not knowing I had IT, I was pretty outspoken about what would eventually happen. All of March and April have been trouble free "without" hand sanitizer, masks, social distancing , etc. The recent antibody test prooved what I had suspected all along. 8 of us here at work are all virus free in the aftermath and feeling 100% for well over a month. I am sure there are millions of other survivors but the test is so expensive ( $150/person), few will do it.

Interesting that you mentioned a "relapse". Me too. The drip and the cough are back.

I lost 23 pounds and have recovered only 9 or so.

The immunity thing is in question. Just  today South Korea issued a report indicating that "re-infection" isn't clear.

It may be that 1) the tests are faulty 2) folks are "cured" but there are lingering false indicators of infection or 3) the anti-bodies don't protect you and you can be re-infected.

It was from the  South Korean CDC so don't shoot me and it is an ongoing situation and will be cleared up eventually.

There is also question here in the US as to the accuracy of the anti-body tests. There are other factors with that test and not everyone will produce the same level of anti-bodies to be "cured".

As explained to me 1) if for instance the anti-body level was rated on a 1 to 10 scale, one person may show at a 7 and considered marginal and another show at a 9. It isn't clear what that means. What if you're a 6? Are you curred.

The anti-body tests need to be "interpreted" and are not black and white.

The other thing is there is little new in anti-body therapy.  It has issues as far as rejection and again as explained to me, is only used as a last resort on a critical patient who has nothing to loose anymore.

I too feel that I have had more severe infections such as walking  pneumonia and severe bronchitis but  who knows if it's over, has attacked other organs? Only time will tell and everyone will have different experiences I'm sure.

I "fell over" on March 20, my birthday and probably yesterday was the first day I could get through without having to stop to rest.

Why would everyone presume that you can't be re-infected? You can with a cold, flu, etc.

I'm antsy and want out too but here in NY there is no joke. I am 6 miles from the NYC border and on their side the coffins are literally stacked up with no where to go. 600 dead just today. Down from 700 something yesterday.

No one is going safe without an inoculation. Yesterdays opinion is that may be fall at the soonest?

Feel good? Feel safe? Are you going to go to a MLB, NHL, NBA game and sit in the crowd?

I fear that my brain damage isn't reversible? There is minimal anger at the moment but the flood may still be to come?

I have to be judicious with the throttle. There was a Lexus AH the other day that I had all I could do from running him off the road, dragging him out of the car, stomping him to death and setting him on fire, so something is peculating and hopefully it is just the virus passing through, but I am aware of it.

I do not carry and I promised the Judge I wouldn't hit anyone anymore. ;)

The reason you can get a cold or the flu again is that it is likely that the you were infected by a different strain to which the body has little or no immunity. That's why you hear the medical folks talking about which flu strains the current year's flu vaccine will be effective against.

'67 0066 is in the shop (an hour away) having some work done that requires the occasional test drive... guess who's getting his coronavirus therapy and who is not lol. At least someone is enjoying the ride.

As it turns out there are alternative therapies and though not a vintage Shelby (see attached), an effective therapeutic none the less... beautiful day for a drive in southern Ohio today.

Be well.

That it is JD, that it is, thanks. It gets put up for the winter so nice to get it out and blast around the country roads for a bit... have to watch out for folks loose chickens though lol.
