98SVT - was 06GT

Just got the eblast and noticed it has a tribute to the "Voice of Willow". I'm starting to go through stuff to get ready for the retirement move and came across 4 rolls from Monterey when Ford was the Marque.

^^^ great story

Many good stories to read - Thanks!

Also, did Howard take the Bullet Mustang for a test drive???

and, to add to Jeff's reminiscing on page 11 of seeing a fire  damaged GT40 street car out behind the shop where he was buying tire here is a after the fire and before the fire of that same car.  This car is also referenced in the article about Fran Kress.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to another great issue of The Shelby American.

On quickly scanning the issue, I noticed a few items that I wanted to correct/add some precision, namely:

On page 17: Specifically, it was a Superformance MkIII Cobra replica (chassis no. SP02992) that was used in the Clint Eastwood movie, "The Mule."

On page 19: This photo was not taken in Venezuela. It was taken in Bacolod City, Philippines, in Feb 2016 by Brian Evans where the local children have been using the abandoned Cobra replica as a plaything for a long time.

On page 55: This particular 427 Cobra is mid-identified as CSX3208. It is CSX3255, one of The Gumball Rally movie cars, and was owned by Duane Bowers at the time of SAAC-01.

Like my father, I have just two emotions: Rage and Supressed Rage.

Having a problem opening up the Spring Issue.  I go to the Member's site, click on the spring issue but get a pop-up barring the connection, suggesting that the address is in error.  Is it this lousy Windows 10 Microsoft Edge?  Should I try another browser like Chrome?

I have Windows 10, not fond of it but that's another story. I'm viewing it in basic HTML and it suggests I load Adobe Flash (which I ignore). A little cumbersome, but works fine.

I downloaded Adobe Player...no help. :(

The "helper" is Adobe Reader... not Player

My bad. You're correct.  I did download Reader. Still won't come up. I must have something blocking it.

Try downloading the full issue, instead of trying to view it on the site.... then open with Reader

Wouldn't allow me to download.  Tried multiple times and different ways.  No luck.  I'll try on my good 'ol Windows 7 machine and bet it opens...
Update:  Sure enough, it opened right up.   Windows 10 is a piece of S#%t!

Works fine on my Win 10 PC and my old Win 8 laptop. Downloaded it as a PDF file to read and/or pages.
Just nuts.

More power to you!  It wouldn't even recognize the file much less download it.
